Preston | Morning Spring Session at the Zachry Engineering Building

Preston and I spent the morning at the Zachry engineering building. Preston is graduating in May with a Multidisciplinary Engineering Technology Degree (MXET). After graduation he plans on moving just east of the Pacific Northwest since he is originally from Washington State. As much as I love Texas, our landscape has very little compared the terrain in Washington!

Before we got out the camera, we stopped by Carport Coffee for some morning caffeine. Everything about this little coffee shop was my vibe! I loved the coffee, loved the interior, and of course loved the staff!!

I love getting to find new locations on campus, especially since I have been all over as a student AND a photographer. I got to surprise Preston by ending the session at Research Park which he had never been! The lighting off the ponds made the images magical!

Anyways, enough with the summary! Enjoy some of the favorites:

When I decided to put Preston in the MIDDLE of a bright field, he questioned it. Direct sunlight does not always allow for the best lighting. I explained (and showed him on the back of the camera) that by using certain angles I create some pretty bomb images in the sunlight. We also too these around 8 in the morning which meant that the conditions were perfect. These actually are some of my favorite photos from our session!

You CANNOT go wrong with a classic black & white portrait!!!!!
