While I love all my Texas weddings, but I have recently relocated to San Antonio and am eager to add more couples in that area too! The Texas Hill Country is one of the most popular regions to get married, so if you are just starting your wedding planning journey, I highly checking out venues in the area. Talking about my new move is not the plan for today’s post, but to share Marcela & Asher’s engagement photos!

I’m super late on sharing these engagements, but It’s not quite their wedding day so I still can! Marcela & Asher are College Station locals who met in High school. After nearly eight years together, Asher popped the question, and Marcela said yes – Whoop! That wasn’t ever really a concern, but still crazy exciting!

For their engagement session (and reception), they chose Brownstone Reserve in Bryan, Texas. It’s a pretty cool spot with lots of brick stone, which Marcela instantly feel in love with. Using the reception venue as the location for engagement photos is great! It’s like a trial run for you to get comfy with the venue and all.

These two are the definition of photogenic, even if they disagree. I am convinced neither of them can take a bad photo (like Barney from How I Met your Mother). We started off simple with more classic photos and getting warmed up for the camera. After that, we went inside and Marcela & Asher did a test run of their first dance… I can’t wait to see the glow up in a few months! Especially with Marcela’s Brick & Mortar Dress. It is perfect. PERFECT. Then they went and changed into These were a little more daring with even more laughter. The ones at the end turned out to be some of their favorites. Can you blame them?!?

As their wedding day gets closer, I’m so grateful to be part of Marcela and Asher’s journey. Both as the photographer for these moments, but even more as their friend. I better get going on writing that Matron of Honor speech!!!
