Kelli and Josh’s wedding took place at Downtown 202 in Bryan, Texas with a last minute decision to use the La Salle hotel for the bridal suite! To be honest, I don’t know the details of how they met, I just know they have been together FOREVER. No, Seriously. Josh popped the question on their 7th anniversary which means their wedding happened around their 8th anniversary! Since I am also still in love with my high school sweetheart, I was SUPER excited to celebrate these two.
The wedding day, for me, started at Josh’s parents house where he and his 2 groomsmen were getting ready. These guys were 90% dressed and ready by the time I even had my camera out!! If you know anything about guys, they tend to wait till the VERY last minute to get ready. The first thing I saw when I got inside the house was Josh’s mom helping him get his hair ready. Talk about the sweetest way to start this wonderful day!
Let’s take a second to acknowledge these details! WOWZA! I actually think this is my favorite shot out of all these. I am a SUCKER for rainbow light prisms and a good ring shot of course!!!
Kelli and Josh’s wedding day was full of love, support, and joy from their family and friends. Every wedding has stressful moments, I think that is just the tradition of weddings, but their family adapted and rolled with the punches. It was wonderful to see a room full of people who have seen both Kelli and Josh grow up as individuals, but also grow together as a couple.
After photographing dozens of weddings and portraits over the years, I’ve learned that the magic happens when people feel comfortable, cared for, and completely themselves. That’s why I’ve built my business around more than just taking beautiful photos. It’s about creating an experience that helps you feel present in your day and confident in front of my camera.
