Diana and Simon bonded over their love of music and dancing. It was abundantly clear during the reception that these two thrive together when dancing. Their first dance was choreographed and beautiful, and the chemistry between them was palpable throughout the night. They shared a romantic moment at an Aggie football game, where they had their first kiss, sparked by a tradition of kissing with every touchdown. After a year and a half of long-distance dating, with Simon living in Austin and Diana in College Station, Simon proposed to Diana at St. Peter’s Basilica in Rome.

The first time I visited Canyonwood Ridge was for Diana’s bridal photos, and I was obsessed. There are two aspects of this wedding venue that I love: the venue itself and the Hill Country views. It was exciting to see how guests utilized the grounds for their photos. The pergola, the outdoor ceremony site, was a fan favorite, and there are plenty of little nooks with equally beautiful views. The venue has a beautiful, naturally lit chapel for indoor ceremonies, with windows offering a view of the stunning oak trees and scenic hilltop. The reception space features large, picturesque windows that maintain the natural light aesthetic while providing beautiful views of the outside.
