A Spring Wedding Decor Dream with Olivia & Peyton

Wedding decor is one of the first things couples get excited about and Olivia absolutely nailed it when she began planning hers. She and Peyton met in high school and now, seven years later, they’ve tied the knot. I’ve got such a soft spot for high school sweethearts (I married mine too!) so getting to join Katelyn Elaine Creative to photograph their wedding day was super exciting!

What made their wedding decor stand out was the sweet story behind it. Olivia always knew she wanted white tulips for her flowers. Later on in the planning process, she found out that her mother in law had also used all white tulips in her own wedding. It felt like such a full circle moment that made the day even more meaningful.

White tulips and soft blue accents made the wedding decor feel elegant and fresh
Touches of navy and periwinkle created the perfect spring palette

The florals throughout the wedding were simply stunning. Think effortless arrangements that still felt thoughtful and elegant. With the tulips as the star, the added navy and periwinkle touches really brought the whole look together. The color palette screamed spring in the best way possible and gave everything such a fresh and joyful vibe.

One of my favorite parts of the wedding decor was the blue checkered dance floor. It added such a fun pop to the reception space and paired perfectly with the vintage-inspired blue drinking glasses on each table. Olivia grew up dancing AND a group dance was done by Peyton to ask her to Homecoming back in the day, so having a PARTY and EPIC dancefloor was important. It’s always the little details that make a wedding feel so personal and unique and Olivia and Peyton really made it their own.

This wedding was a perfect example of how thoughtful wedding decor can create a day that’s not only beautiful but also meaningful. I loved capturing every part of it.
