This colorful wedding at the Albert Hotel is probably one of my favorites I’ve gotten to photograph. I’m in love with the Fredericksburg area and obsessed with all things color, so it was a dream come true! I was brought along to second shoot for Monica Krc who is a crazy talented film photographer in Texas.

Elevated & Colorful Floral Design

I loved how the design of this wedding was classy but full of life and colors. The bridesmaids’ dresses were all different styles, textures, and colors, then with the added complimentary and contrasting colors from the bouquets… PERFECTION. I am not a florist, but I did notice some premium blooms among the arrangements, which I think is what really elevated the design even more than it was.

Some that I noticed and do know of are:
Dahlias
Ranunculus
Hydrangeas
Scabiosa

Getting Ready at the Albert Hotel

With hotel weddings you typically get ready in a hotel suite (which the guys did for this one), but the Albert Hotel has a private guest house (The Albertina House) where the girls were able to spend the morning and get ready. The lighting everywhere was an absolute DREAM! The guest house is right along main street and is in the back portion of the Albert.

Incorporating the Fredericksburg Charm

Fredericksburg Texas is known for their German Heritage, wine, and so much history packed into one little area. While the hotel itself is beautiful, the area around is full of historic charm, so the Bride got a few photos with her girls using the exterior of the guest house that is right along Main Street. During Golden Hour, Monica did pull the couple away for a few couple portraits along main street while I focused on the guests at Cocktail Hour.
